Stephensons has been attending the annual Northern Restaurant and Bar show since it started over twenty years ago, and 2024 was another successful and interesting year.

It has always been a pleasure to be at the exhibition and to be able to see all the new and exciting developments happening within the hospitality industry, and we were thrilled to once again be part of it.

Some of the main highlights for us at NRB this year included the debut of our sustainable stand. Made from eco-friendly paper board material, it was incredibly durable and fully recyclable after use. It also featured LED downlighting to help highlight all our exciting new products.

Of course, catching up with suppliers and customers is always one the best parts of attending shows like this. We always enjoy hearing about what's new, and looking at ways we can support our customers and work with suppliers more effectively. Additionally, meeting new people is equally important to us, and it was lovely to see some new faces at our stand this year. We are always looking at how to improve our services through innovation and developing our product knowledge, as well as listening to the changing requirements of our customers. These conversations with new and returning customers are always a fantastic opportunity for us to learn!

As always, there were several interesting speakers and discussions taking place over the two days, including Kate Nicholls OBE, Sacha Lord, Simon Rogan MBE, Tom Barnes, and Will Beckett. There were also some exciting demonstrations from the Chef Live stage, with culinary masters such as Hrishikesh Desi, Stosi Madi, Mary-Ellen McTague, and Adam Reid speaking and showcasing their talents.

NRB reported a record-breaking attendance at their 2024 show, so it'll be interesting to see how next year will compare...
